Another day brings two more books. I love building up my book collection. For me collecting books is just as important than collecting figures. I’ve been more interested in buying older Showa books as of late. Today’s books have been on my radar for some time. Searches on Mandarake.co.jp would bring them up regularly. I knew they were older but I kept putting off buying them.
The first book is the 256-paged soft back The Latest Version of Godzilla All Monster Encyclopedia (最新版ゴジラ怪獣オール全百科) published by Shogakukan (小学館) on December 20, 1993. The second is The Definitive Introduction to Godzilla (小学館入門百科シリーズ142 ヒーロー5 決定版ゴジラ入門) by Shogakukan (小学館) on July 15, 1984. I believe this is the first printed in the series. It is ascribed to Tomoyuki Tanaka but Masami Yamada was a contributor. This adds another book to my Yamada collection. You can read an edition here.
