When I woke up this morning I realized in a week from today I will be heading for Japan. My schedule in Japan is tight. Everyday I’m on the go. So every step must be accounted for. So it’s time to get into my itinerary. Unlike previous trips I’ll be arriving at Haneda for the first time. That’s going to save me a lot of time and help me get the most out of each day.

Right off the airplane, I’m going to hit the ground walking. The first day will be a short half day with only a few hours of daylight left. I want to resume my journey to Shin Godzilla places from my last trip in 2016. Upon landing at Haneda I will take a short train ride and walk to several locations where Kamata-kun came ashore. First up will be Former Anamori Inari Shrine followed by a half-hour walk north to Nomikawa River where Kamata-kun tossed many boats aside. That will be enough for Day 1.

I’ll plan my next fews days in Japan tomorrow. The rest of today I spent pickup a reasonable backpack from Target and a few inexpensive t-shirts from Walmart. Now I’m ready to pack my bag. I think the single backpack plan is going to work!

Earlier today I took in another video on traveling to Japan on YouTube. The first tip to purchase a pocket WiFi gave me great comfort. Check it out!
