On the screen beyond the window frame, the scene of a train entering the station is shown coming back from behind. Nakajima is holding a pencil in his ear. The scene where Teshin, who plays the desk role, puts his hand on his waist and instructs reporter Hagiwara (left hand beauty) to meet Dr. Yozawa.

Nakajima’s line is in response to Dr. Yamane’s argument that Godzilla should not be killed for the sake of scientific research. In this way, it is not uncommon for large-scale actors to play small roles such as 2 or 3 roles.

In addition, in scenes where a large number of people called “Gaya” [extras] are having a loud conversation, many large-scale actors appear in the recording of only their voices. This recording was done in a “dubbing room,” a room used to synthesize sounds, and one day Akira Kurosawa, the “world-famous director,” was in this room.

“Honda-kun, show me a little bit of that Godzilla thing.”

At that time, Godzilla was supposed to be shown on the screen for dubbing, so the timing must have been perfect.

“Oh, go take a look.”

Godzilla appears in front of Kurosawa.

“Okay, okay. This is okay.”

Kurosawa repeats this over and over again. It was rare for the Kurosawas of the world to praise him so much.

This movie is not just about Tsuburaya and his special skills. It has already written that the project was made up of three teams: Honda, the main director, was in Group A, Tsuburaya, who was in charge of the special effects, was in Group B, and Hiroshi Mukaiyama, who was in charge of compositing, was in Group C. The system is such that the main story and special effects have a meeting first, and the compositing is only brought in when necessary. Simply put, “compositing” is a technique that combines separate screens into one screen. For example, you could create a scene with a crowd running away and Godzilla walking.
