Who left the moth in the house? I did bright and early. I went onto the porch to let the sun in and there was the US postal service lady was walking up with the big box from AmiAmi. If last week’s box day couldn’t get any better, then it did. X-Plus Toho Large Monster Series Mothra 1964 (東宝大怪獣シリーズ 「モスラ1964」 少年リック限定 対決ゴジラセット) was waiting inside the box. Mothra was one of the new Ric Toy releases announced at Wonder Fest.

Mothra is stunning and large. It’s meticulously painted eyes, body, and wings showoff the sculpt. It’Mothra’s wingspan is impressive at 65cm width. The egg is a collectible all by itself. This will make for a great photoshot. Mothra with its colorful wing pattern is simply beautiful to view from above.

The X-Plus box is just a beautiful as the figure with its great black-and-white Mothra line art. This is a keeper and worthy of display. Unlike the King Ghidorah box this art is reminiscent of old myths from Infant Island. It has an air of nostalgia.

The egg and stand are beautiful and are a wonderful complement. This is my best Mothra and like most X-Plus figures I highly recommend.
