Godzilla 1984 Suits

写真は映画の中でも大活躍するスーツメインションの原型。実寸の40分の1、2mの大きさだ。今回使用しているスーツは、肩の位置を従来のものより15cm上にあげている。肩があがることによって、その分胴体が長く見えるわけだが、恐竜らしさも強調された。スーツは2カ月かかって陸上用と水中•弾着(ミサイルなどが当たり爆発する)用の2体が造られた。水中•弾着用は、動きやすくするために、尻尾がユニット式で取りつけ取りはずしができるようになっている。スーツの総重量は、メカ込みで110キロに、もなる。
