The Godzilla community is mourning the loss of the beloved actress Yuriko Hoshi (星 由里子) known for her roles as photographer Junko Nakanish in Mothra vs Godzilla (1964), reporter Naoko Shindo in Ghidorah The Three-Headed Monster (1964), and Prof. Yoshino Yoshizawa in Godzilla vs Megaguirus (2000). Hoshi-san was born December 6, 1943 and left us May 16. She appeared in ninety films since 1959.
Her spirit and presence will continue in her work that we will always cherish. Our condolences and prayers for her family and the Toho community. My she rest in peace.
