怪獣の猛威!炎上する船舶、走るジープ!
The monster’s fury! Flaming ships, running jeeps!

緊急会議での防衛大臣の答弁では、防衛軍は怪獣の行動を監視、国際合同軍と連絡をとり撃滅すべく行動中であるとされ、劇中、兵力を駆使する描写は確認されていない。そこで今回は「兵器図録番外編」として劇中に登場した船舶、車輌を紹介しよう。

According to the Minister of Defense’s response at an emergency meeting, the defense forces are monitoring the monster’s actions and contacting the international joint forces to take action to destroy it. So this time, let’s introduce the ships and vehicles that appeared in the play as “weapon catalog extra edition.”

ウイリスCJ3A
Willys CJ3A

ゴジラの横浜上陸に際し、市内の偵察行動や住民の避難誘導に用いられたジープ。CJとは、民生用ジープ(CivilianJeep)の略で、日本では新三菱重工業がライセンス生産を行った。劇中登場車は、左ハンドルの初期型。

A jeep used for reconnaissance activities in the city and evacuation guidance for residents when Godzilla landed in Yokohama. CJ is an abbreviation for Civilian Jeep, and in Japan, Shin Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was licensed to produce it. The car that appears in the play is an early model with a left-hand drive.

氷川丸
Hikawa Maru

日本郵船が1930(昭和5)年に竣工させた豪華貨客船で、北太平洋航路で活躍、1960年まで運航を続けた。劇中では1カットしか映らないが、どうやらゴジラに攻撃されなかったようだ。運航終了後、横浜港に係留され、現在も山下公園のシンボルとして親しまれている。

A luxury cargo-passenger ship completed in 1930 by Nippon Yusen. Only one cut is shown in the play, but it seems that Godzilla was not attacked. After she finished sailing, she was moored at Yokohama Port and is still popular as a symbol of Yamashita Park.

寿山号
Shousan

テレビ番組出演を終えた小美人を乗せ、出航しようとしていた貨客船で、自称金星人の予言を無視したため、太平洋上に出現したゴジラの襲撃に遭い炎上した。

A cargo-passenger ship that was about to depart with Fairy Twins who had finished appearing on a TV program, ignored the prophecy of a self-proclaimed Venusian, so it was attacked by Godzilla that appeared on the Pacific Ocean and caught fire.
