I had a nice unexpected surprise this month when G-Fan arrived. G-Fan No. 117 was dedicated to the late great Godzilla suit actor, Haruo Najakima. The issue also features an article by Godzilla fan Mike Ross (page 13) entitled “Growing Up with Godzilla.” Mike details his dream trip to Japan last year, particularly, when he attended the opening night of Shin Godzilla at Toho Cinema in Hotel Gracery in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on July 29th. And there right below is a group picture of us fans in attendance. I’m the guy on the left in the back with glasses wearing a red shirt. That was a long day and night. The day started with a long trip to Kamakura to see Shin Godzilla places. Then a dash back to the youth hostel to rest up for the 1:30 am showing of Shin Godzilla. That was an amazing trip!
