Recorded Memories

6.7.14

Watching Godzilla movies defined my childhood. Each week was capped off by hours in front of the television watching the Big G take it to his foes. In the seventies and early eighties, there were no DVRs and you were lucky to own a video tape recorder. Those days were ruled by the audio tape recorder. My dad had a plethora of recorders from Panasonic to Radio Shack and a ton of tapes. Before every movie I would arm myself with dad’s tape recorder and gifted cassette tape.

Growing Up G

The other day I stumbled across the audio export option in QuickTime and a great idea came to me. I realized that I could recapture and relive those fond memories and moments listening to Godzilla movies. So I added audio files of several Godzilla movies on my iPod. Now you can too!
