大宇宙ブラックホール第三惑星人が地球侵略のために、ゴジラを徹底的に分析し、つくりあげたロボット怪獣。宇宙特殊鋼スペースチタニウムが使用されている。初めて地球上に現れた際には、ゴジラのボディスーツを纏っていた。飛行速度はマッハ5。目から発せられるスペースビーム、指先から発射されるフィンガーミサイル、胸から発射されるクロスアタックビーム、膝から発射されるホーミットショット、敵の攻撃を防御するディフェンスネオバリアーなどが武器である。ゴジラ、キングシーサーの共闘に敗れた後、残骸が回収され2号機がつくられた。メカゴジラ2は指のフィンガーミサイルが回転ミサイルへと変更され、ヘッドコントローラーにサイボーグ少女の脳波がリンクし、あたかも人間の脳を得たかのような反応速度を示した。

国連G対策センターが、23世紀より飛来したメカキングギドラの残骸を分析し、その未来のロボット工学を利用し開発した対ゴジラ用戦闘マシン。外部装甲は超耐熱合金NT-1を使用し、ゴジラの熱線に耐えられるよう設計された。飛行速度はマッハ1。両目から発せられるビームキャノン、口より放射するメガバスター、麻酔弾パラライズミサイル、高圧電流を送り込むショックアンカーのほかに、ゴジラの熱線を一旦吸収し、増幅させ反射するプラズマグレネイドなどが武器。対G戦闘マシン「ガルーダ」と合体することにより、スーパーメカゴジラとなり機動力がアップした。それにより、空中からの攻撃が可能になり、ゴジラの腰の部分にある第二の脳をGクラッシャーで粉砕することに成功した。

正式名称は「3式機龍多目的戦闘システム」。房総半島沖にて発見された初代ゴジラの骨格をベースに建造された特生自衛隊所属の対ゴジラ特殊兵器。DNAコンピューターを使用し高速のデータ処理により、生物のような機敏な動きが可能になった。専用輸送機「しらさぎ」による遠隔操縦によって行動する。ツインメーサー砲、ロケットランチャー等の武器のほかに、胸部にはあらゆる物質を凍結粉砕する最終兵器アブソリュートゼロを装備している。ゴジラとの戦闘時にベースとして使用されていた骨格のDNAに残存していた初代ゴジラの意識が目覚め、人類のコントロールを離れて破壊行動を行うようになってしまった。修復後、アブソリュートゼロによってゴジラを退去させることに成功した。

決戦地: 永田町 / 2匹のモスラ幼虫が吐く糸によって自由を奪われたゴジラを抱きかかえたまま、龍は日本海溝の底へ消えていった。

Decisive battlefield: Nagatacho / Kiryu disappeared to the bottom of the Japan Trench while holding Godzilla, whose freedom was stolen by the thread spewed by two Mothra larvae.
