Footwear Found

Yesterday was a challenging day but I was able to take a quick walk through Center City Philadelphia in search of walking shoes. After a couple of disappointing stops I went where I thought that I would ultimately land. I went to Macy’s and found a good selection of slip-on walking shoes. I decided on a pair of Sketchers that was virtually identical with my old slip-on shoes. I found a pair of Levi’s to go with them. After a shopping spree on Amazon.com the bulk of my clothing needs have been met. I also bought a second pair of walking sneakers to test. I will begin wearing my shoes and packing my bag later this week.

I put my collecting on hiatus but not my box days. The X-Plus FSL 30cm MechaGodzilla 1974 arrived. It’s my favorite MechaGodzilla! I don’t have a long list of items I’m looking for in Japan. This trip is all about nostalgia and returning to familiar favorite places to relive and recapture the rich memories and experiences of my past.

I started to narrow down on my itinerary and see where I can add new destinations. It has always been difficult to sightsee and shop after 5 pm in Japan due to fatigue. My mile walk yesterday was revealing. I will need to improve my conditioning quickly. I want to get the most out of every moment of the day in Japan. Time, jet lag, extensive walking and riding on the subway with my shoulder bag and shopping bags are perhaps the biggest challenges. I must use subway footlockers more. They are a great safe and convenient resource.
