沖縄・玉泉洞で発見された壁画に書かれていた予言。同じく洞窟内で発見されたシーサー像の“置物を安豆味(あずみ)城の石のほこらの上に設置することで何かが起こる”という文様の記載から、沖縄の伝説怪獣キングシーサーが目覚めた。劇中の安豆味城は架空の城であり、実際の撮影は沖縄・琉球王朝の城址(じょうし=城跡のこと)である中城(なかぐすく)城跡で行われている。 東京から現地を訪れた東宝映画のスタッフのほか、沖縄芸能社も協力。実際の城壁に、作り物のシーサー像を設置したロケセットが仕立てられ、撮影が行われた。この中城城跡は2000年に首里城跡などと共にユネスコの世界遺産(文化遺産)に指定されている。

The legendary Okinawan monster King Caesar awoke from the description of the Shisa statue, which was also found in the cave, that “something happens when a figurine is placed on the stone shrine of Azumi Castle.” The Azumi Castle in the play is a fictitious castle, and the actual shooting is done at the ruins of Nakagusuku Castle, which is the ruins of the Ryukyu dynasty in Okinawa. In addition to the Toho movie staff who visited the site from Tokyo, Okinawa Entertainment Company also cooperated. A location set with a fake Shisa statue was set up on the actual wall and photographed. The ruins of Nakagusuku Castle were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage) in 2000 along with the ruins of Shuri Castle.
