1954年、映画「ゴジラ」でスクリーンに初登場以来、幾度となく日本を装い、また、強力なライバル怪獣と、壮絶な死闘を繰り広げてきた怪獣の王者ゴジラ！45年に渡るシリーズ全23作品を一挙に振り返ってみよう。

Since its first appearance on the screen in the movie “Godzilla” in 1954, Godzilla, the king of monsters, has been disguised as Japan many times and has fought fierce battles with powerful rival monsters! Let’s take a look back at all 23 works in the series spanning 45 years.

(1)　ゴジラ (1954)
Godzilla (1954)

水爆実験によって目覚めた怪獣•初代ゴジラは東京に上陸。恐るべき白熱光を吐き、街を火の海にして暴れるが、最後は、芹沢博士の開発したオキシジェンデストロイヤーによって絶命する。

A monster awakened by a hydrogen bomb experiment • The first generation Godzilla lands in Tokyo. It spits out a terrifying incandescent light and turns the city into a sea of fire, but in the end it is killed by the Oxygen Destroyer developed by Dr. Serizawa.

(2) ゴジラの逆襲 (1955)
Godzilla Raids Again (1955)

2代目ゴジラと暴竜アンギラスが大阪城を舞台に対決。

The second generation Godzilla and the violent dragon Anguirus face off in Osaka Castle.

(3) キングコング対ゴジラ (1962)
King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962)

キングコングとゴジラが対決。勝負は引き分け。
King Kong and Godzilla face off. The match is a draw.

(4) モスラ対ゴジラ (1964)
Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964)

インファント島のモスラと幼虫モスラに敗退する。
Defeats Mothra and Larva Mothra on Infant Island.

(5) 三大怪獣 地球最大の決戦 (1964)
Ghidorah The Three-Headed Monster

モスラ、ラドンと協力して宇宙怪獣キングギドラを撃退。

He repels the space monster King Ghidorah in cooperation with Mothra and Rodan.

(1984~1995)

初代から30年ぶりに、大黒島に出現した3代目ゴジラは、11年後、デストロイヤを倒すが、メルトダウンを起こして消滅。

30 years after the first generation, the 3rd generation Godzilla, which appeared on Daikoku Island, defeats Destroyer 11 years later, but causes a meltdown and disappears.

(16) ゴジラ (1984)
Godzilla (1984)

出現したゴジラ東京襲撃後、三原山火口内に没した。

After appearing Godzilla attacked Tokyo, it sank in the Mt. Mihara crater.

(17) ゴジラvsビオランテ (1989)
Godzilla vs Biollante (1989)

ゴジラのG細胞を融合されたビオランテ、ゴジラと対決。

Biollante, fused with Godzilla’s G cells, confronts Godzilla.

第３のシリーズ (1999)
Third series (1999)

1945年以来、幾度となく日本に上陸していたという、４代目の新ゴジラ。

Since 1945, the fourth generation new Godzilla that has landed in Japan many times.

(23) ゴジラ2000ミレニアム

初代ゴジラが死んだ翌年、岩戸島で確認された2代目ゴジラは、20年間戦い、「メカゴジラの逆襲」以来、出現していない。この間の初代、2代目の15作品がゴジラの第一シリーズである。

The year after the first Godzilla died, the second Godzilla, who was confirmed on Iwato Island, fought for 20 years and has not appeared since “Terror of Mechagodzilla.” The 15 works of the first generation and the second generation during this period are the first series of Godzilla.
