劇中に出てくるゴジラタワーは見落しがちだが、ゴジラとしては安丸信行が 作った初のゴジラになる。安丸怪獣らしいエッジのきいた石膏彫刻は、シャー プな印象をもっている。ゴジラとゴジラが向き合って戦う様は、後の「ゴジラ 対メカゴジラ」の源泉イメージになっている。利光貞三の老いたゴジラと安丸 の新進ゴジラ像との対比が、この作品のもう1つの見方である。

The Godzilla Tower that appears in the movie is often overlooked, but it is the first Godzilla built by Nobuyuki Yasumaru. The sharp-edged plaster sculpture, typical of the Yasumaru Kaiju, has a sharp, sharp impression. The image of Godzilla and Godzilla fighting face to face became the source image for the later “Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla.” The contrast between Toshimitsu Teizo’s aging Godzilla and Yasumaru’s budding Godzilla image is another way to look at this work.
