It’s box day but not just like any other. I received in the mail the book essential for my G Project to begin. What exactly is my G Project? The translation of the original Godzilla novel into English. This is a tall order and a monumental task but a necessary endeavor. I’m no translator nor am I fluent in Japanese. However, the years I’ve spent in studying Japanese and living in Japan with the assistance of Google translate, Japanese kanji apps, and online Japanese dictionaries the task will be a fun learning experience and may be provide a valuable resource to other Godzilla fans. So beginning today, I will translate portions weekly. Stay tuned.
