山崎監督作品の多くに携わる映画プロデューサー阿部秀司さんは大の鉄道マニア。そのためか山崎作品に登場する鉄道車両描写にはこだわりを感じます。『ゴジラ-1.0』の銀座襲撃シーンでは「まるでジョーズのようにかじられる山手線」に注目!初代ゴジラでも同様の襲撃があり、急ブレーキをかける運転士の演技までも完全コピーしたオマージュ映像は大拍手!焦茶色の63系は咥えられた時に見える車両裏側や粉砕される描写があるので実際の車両の使用素材や車体構造まで緻密に調査されて作られたであろうCGは執念を感じました!

Film producer Shuji Abe, who is involved in many of Yamazaki’s films, is a huge railway enthusiast. Perhaps for this reason, I feel particular about the depiction of the railway vehicles that appear in Yamazaki’s works. In the Ginza attack scene of “Godzilla-1.0,” pay attention to the “Yamanote Line that is chewed up just like in jaws”! There was a similar attack in the original Godzilla, and the homage video is a great one, completely copying the driver’s act of suddenly braking. Applause! The dark brown 63 series has the back side of the vehicle visible when it is held in its mouth, and the depiction of it being crushed, so the CG must have been created by meticulously researching the materials used on the actual vehicle and the body structure. I got it!
