Non-Stop to Tokyo
Today is the day! Tasks are complete. Bags are packed. And I’m ready to leave for the airport on a gorgeous first full day of Spring. Even better today is the anniversary of my favorite Godzilla movie, Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla (1974). It’s an awesome coincidence to be flying to Japan on this day. Now my preflight list turns into my travel itinerary. It’s a world-wind tour across Japan with my JR Rail Pass in hand.

Whether or not, I’ve been trying to figure out how to take a trip to Fukuoka to see the Tokusatsu DNA exhibit, the latest headquarters of the MechaGodzilla 1975 suit. But it is such a logistical challenge. The trip is almost six hours one way from Tokyo. It would be an amazing exhibit that I’ve been trying to see since it’s opening in Nagoya. But whatever happens I’m blessed today to return to Japan. Lookout Japan Godzilla is coming!
