待望の、いわゆる陸用スーツが海用スーツに遅れて完成し、マスコミに発表された。ところが首が短いなどのプロポーション上の短所が多く出てしまい、評判は決して芳しいものではなかった。劇中で使われたものはこの後、作り直ししたものである。同一のスーツとは思えない変わりようなので、ここで頁をさいた。

The long-awaited so-called land suit was completed later than the sea suit and was announced to the mass media. However, it had many shortcomings in terms of proportions, such as a short neck, and was not very well received. The one used in the play was remade after this. I turned the page here because it looks like a change that I can’t think of as the same suit.

胸が張り出して首がいかにも短い。眼も奥目がちで、表情に乏しい。84ゴジラの型を使った型抜きで、体と背ビレを作っている。

The chest is protruding and the neck is very short. His eyes tend to be deep-set, and he lacks facial expressions. The body and dorsal fin are made by die-cutting using the mold of 84 Godzilla.

84ゴジラほどではないにしろ、自重と動きにくさは写真からも伝わってくる。足もこれ以上は上がらなさそうな感じである。

Even if it’s not as strong as 84 Godzilla, its own weight and difficulty of movement can be seen in the photos. I feel like I can’t lift my legs any further.

立派な背ビレの並び腰の位置が84ゴジラ時よりも高くなった。スタジオで尻尾を吊って撮られた一連である。

The line of splendid dorsal fins and the position of the waist are higher than when 84 Godzilla. This is a series of shots taken in the studio with the tail hanging.
