Godzilla’s second brain

モスラとバトラによって太平洋に姿を消したゴジラが、同族の「想い」を感知して封印を破る。そこには、前世紀の巨獣の内面ともいえる強烈な「意志」があり、安寧を求めるゆえの「命」の「強さ」がある。地球という方舟のなかで育まれたその果てしない「強さ」の前には、我々人類が繰り出す「仕掛け」などは、とるに足らない小賢しさに過ぎないのか。勝利とは、悠久の時と引き換える「覚悟」なのかもしれない。

Godzilla, who disappeared into the Pacific Ocean with Mothra and Battra, senses the “feelings” of his own kind and breaks the seal. There is a strong “will”that could be said to be the inner side of the giant beasts of the last century, and a “strength”of “life” that comes from seeking peace. In front of the endless “strength” cultivated within the ark of the earth, are the “gimmicks” that we humans put forth no more than insignificant cleverness? Victory may be the “resolution” that we exchange for eternity.
