ゴジラの足は、やはり超ド 級の迫力! 十二月公開を目指して最後の追い込み中の東 宝映画「ゴジラ」(監督橋本 幸治)で、長さ15〆の足が新 宿の街を破壊するシーンが撮 影された。東京・世田谷の東 「宝撮影所内に破壊された街を 再現。ゴジラの左足がズシー「ン!!とガレキの山を踏みつぶすという設定。

Godzilla’s foot packs a truly colossal punch! Filming is currently in the final stretch for the Toho film “Godzilla” (directed by Koji Hashimoto), set for release in December; a scene was shot featuring a 15-meter-long foot wreaking havoc on the streets of Shinjuku. A devastated cityscape was recreated at Toho Studios in Setagaya, Tokyo, for the sequence in which Godzilla’s left foot comes crashing down to crush a pile of rubble.

問題の足は25トンのクレーン 車2台でつり上げ、ガレキを「踏んだ瞬間のリアル感を演出「するため、足が地表に着くと同時に爆薬を破裂させて土煙を上げた。

The leg in question was hoisted by two 25-ton mobile cranes; to create a realistic effect of the moment it crushed the debris, explosives were detonated the instant the leg touched the ground, sending up a cloud of dust and soil.

主演の田中健、沢口靖子は口をそろえて「迫力はあるけど、薄気味悪さの方が先。本物だったらどうしよう! なんて恐怖感を覚えた」

Stars Ken Tanaka and Yasuko Sawaguchi agreed, saying, “It’s certainly powerful, but the sense of eeriness hits you first. We felt a real sense of dread, thinking, ‘What if it were the real thing?'”

このシーン、関係者は新宿「での街頭ロケを望んだが、ついに警備当局の許可が下りなかった。

For this scene, those involved had hoped to film on location on the streets of Shinjuku, but ultimately failed to obtain permission from the security authorities.

足下の人間がやはり小さく見 えます!
