『ゴジラ-10』に登場する最新版ゴジラのモックアップを本誌カメラマンが特写した。デジタルデータのゴジラを出力し、3Dプリンタで模型を作ったという。精巧なモデルデータから実体化したその姿をじっくりとご覧いただきたい。

The magazine’s photographer took a special photo of a mock-up of the latest version of Godzilla that appears in “Godzilla-1.0”. He outputs digital data of Godzilla and created a model using a 3D printer. We would like you to take a close look at the figure that has materialized from elaborate model data.

今回作成されたゴジラのモックアップは体高が約60センチ。映画の撮影が始まる前にモデルデータを元に3Dプリンタで作成。それを現実世界で撮影し、VFX制作時のリファレンス(参考資料)として使用した。また、本編撮影現場でもモックアップを使用してキャストやスタッフとイメージを共有しながら臨んだという。

The Godzilla mockup created this time is approximately 60 centimeters tall. It was created using a 3D printer based on model data before filming began. It was filmed in the real world and used as a reference during VFX production. Additionally, they used mock-ups to share the image with the cast and staff during the filming of the main story.

このモックアップは長野県松本市の松本市美術館で開催中の「映画監督山崎貴の世界」で見ることができる。『ゴジラ・1.0』の他にも『ALWAYS三丁目の夕日』『永遠の0』『アルキメデスの大戦』の貴重な資料が展示されている。10月29日までなので、この機会を逃すな!!

This mock-up can be seen at “The World of Film Director Takashi Yamazaki” currently being held at the Matsumoto City Museum of Art in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. In addition to “Godzilla -1.0,” valuable materials from “Always: Sunset on 3rd Street,” “Eternal Zero,” and “The Great War of Archimedes” are on display. ▲ 腹部ディテール。皮膚には大小の凹凸が不規則に配置されており、ゴジラの生物としての歪さをあえて表現しているかのようだ。また、シワの入り方からゴジラの骨格を想像できる。

▲ The dorsal fin is one of characteristics of Yamazaki’s Godzilla. The surface is layered with details reminiscent of aquatic creatures.
