真船博士によってその存在が明らかにされながら、博士の学会追放の原因となってしまうチタノザウルス。小笠原近海に出現し、結果的にはブラックホール第三惑星人に操られてメカゴジラ2とともに日本を襲うことになる。本格的な恐竜型の怪獣としては、「キングコングの逆襲」(67)で初登場し「怪獣総進撃」などにも出演したゴロザウルス以来。

Titanosaurus, whose existence was revealed by Dr. Mafune, was the cause of Dr. Mafune’s expulsion from the academic society. It appears in the sea near Ogasawara, and as a result, it will be manipulated by the Aliens from the Third Planet of the Black Hole and attack Japan along with MechaGodzilla 2. As a full-fledged dinosaur-type monster, it has been since Gorosaurus, which first appeared in “King Kong Returns” (67) and also appeared in “Destroy All Monsters.”

恐竜型の怪獣は光線などの武器が設定しづらいせいか、チタノザウルスの武器はパカッと開いてウチワ状になる尻尾。やおら敵に背を向けるとその動作は俊敏!)、尻尾をバタバタと振って強風を発生させるのだ。この風が、ゴジラも吹き飛ばされてしまうぐらい強烈なもの。ただ、これだと攻撃時には必ず後ろを向かなければいけないわけで、そこが難点。キングシーサー同様、メカゴジラの陰に隠れてあまり人気のないチタノだが、よく見るとなかなか精悍なルックスをしている。もう少し再評価されてもいいかも。

When it turns its back on the enemy, its movements are agile!), and it generates a strong wind by flapping its tail. This wind is so strong that even Godzilla is blown away. However, in this case, when attacking, you must always face your back, which is a drawback. Like King Shisa, Titanosaurus is not very popular because it is hidden in the shadow of MechaGodzilla, but if you look closely, you can see that it looks quite fearless. It may be worth re-evaluating.
