After a week of intensive cleaning, painting, and remodeling for my Godzilla room, I was rummaging through the many boxes in my basement. And to my surprise I discovered of an artifact from the late Godzilla Heisei Era, an AMC (American Movie Classics) print advertisement from a local Philadelphia newspaper promoting a coming Godzilla marathon. It promised a Monster Fest, the biggest scare ever, with ten Godzilla movies in a row. The ad features Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and Rodan’s legs and feet. Growing up Godzilla was all about cutting out Godzilla ads from the local newspaper and TV guide.
