1972年、東宝チャンピオンまつり時代の作品『地球攻撃命令』ゴジラ対ガイガン』でデビューして、リメイクやフィギュア化でも高い人気のサイボーグ怪獣ガイガン。そのガイガンがゴジラと共にショーに出た超レア写真!

The cyborg monster Gigan made his debut in 1972 in the Toho Champion Festival movie “Godzilla vs. Gigan,” and has been made into a remake and figure. A super rare photo of Gigan appearing at a show with Godzilla!

チビッ子の熱い視線を浴びるゴジラとガイガン。当時、東宝特殊美術の課長だった白崎治郎氏が、遊園地で開催の出張宣伝イベントを撮影した貴重な写真だ。アトラクション用スーツでなく、映画と同じ怪獣が目の前でぶつかり合う本物の迫力!

Godzilla and Gigan are bathed in the passionate gaze of little kids. This is a rare photo taken by Jiro Shirasaki, who was the manager of Toho Special Art at the time, at a promotional event held at an amusement park. It’s not an attraction suit, but a real thrill where the same monsters from the movie collide right in front of your eyes!

『怪獣総進撃』(1968)絵コンテ発見!!

“Destroy All Monsters” (1968) storyboard discovered!!

東宝のカメラマンだった古山正氏が保管していた『怪獣総進撃」の絵コンテ。最近、SNSで存在が明らかになった。その中から抜粋したゴジラ、キングギドラ、ゴロザウルス、キラアク星人の姿。アクションや演出が細かく描かれている。

Storyboards for “Destroy All Monsters” kept by Toho cameraman Tadashi Furuyama. Recently, its presence was revealed on SNS. Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Gorosaurus, and Kilaak aliens are excerpted from among them. The actions and performances are detailed.

1968年の「怪獣総進撃』から4作品で主役を務めたゴジラスーツ。

The Godzilla suit played the leading role in four works starting with 1968’s “Destroy All Monsters.”

ハードな映画撮影を物語るダメージが見られ、ガイガンの首が破れている。

You can see the damage that shows the hard filming, and Gigan’s neck is torn.

撮影会には大勢の子供たちも招かれていた。
