ゴジラの歴史は女優の歴史でもあるが、ここでは70年代のゴジラシリーズに登場した美女を紹介。子供だったゆえ役者の名前は覚えられずとも、その顔ははっきりと脳裏に刻まれている。

The history of Godzilla is also the history of actresses, and here we will introduce the beautiful women who appeared in the Godzilla series in the 1970s. She was too young to remember the actors’ names, but their faces are clearly etched in our mind.

『ゴジラ対ヘドラ』で女優デビューを果たした麻里圭子(撮影当時23歳)。本業は歌手ということで、オープニングで流れる主題歌「かえせ!太陽を」(作詞は監督の坂野義光)を歌うが、そのシーンがとにかく印象的。一度聴いたら忘れられない魔力がある。富士宮ミキという名で登場する彼女は、公害反対の活動家であり、アングラ喫茶の歌手兼ダンサーという役どころ。恋人役の柴本俊夫(現・柴俊夫)とともに重要な役割を担うが、劇中でもやはり歌唱シーンが見どころだ。ボディペインティング(実際はスーツ)姿でゴーゴーを踊りながら「かえせ!太陽を」を歌いあげるシーンがあり、当時子供だった昭和40年男は思わず、ドキドキしてムズムズしてしまったに違いない。

Keiko Mari (23 years old at the time of filming) made her debut as an actress in “Godzilla vs. Hedorah.” She is a singer by trade, and she sings the theme song that plays at the opening, “Return the Sun!” (lyrics by director Yoshimitsu Sakano), and that scene is just so impressive. She has a magical power that you will never forget once you hear her. She appears under the name Miki Fujinomiya and plays the role of an anti-pollution activist, singer and dancer at an underground cafe. She plays an important role along with Toshio Shibamoto (currently Toshio Shiba), who plays her lover, and her singing scenes are the highlight of the play. There is a scene in which she dances go-go while wearing body painting (actually a suit) and sings “Return the Sun!,” which must have made the man who was a child in 1966 feel excited and tickled.
