I had a great weekend that started on a Saturday afternoon drive to Brave New World on Old York Road in Willow Grove, PA (right outside Philadelphia). Sometimes it’s not about what you get but who you get it for. I found the Bandai Chibi set for my little cousin and a couple discounted lightsabers for my friend’s sons. But the best was yet to come.

Toy Tokyo before opening.

Then came Sunday and a drive to NYC. I’ve been itching to get to Toy Tokyo. “Toy Tokyo,” you ask? Toy Tokyo is great toy/collectible show in Manhatten. It’s located at 91 2nd Avenue in New York City’s East Village (between 5th & 6th Street). I’ve been making trips up there since the late 90s. They always have an epic Godzilla collection full of unique vinyls and vintage Bandai figures. I did a lot of damage. Photos are forthcoming. Stay tuned.

Here I am at Toy Tokyo before they moved. I don’t miss the steps.

If you find yourself in NYC any time in the future, you’ve gotta go to Toy Tokyo.
