“Today, prayers for peace were made simultaneously across the nation. This is a scene from that event, sent to you from Tokyo. Please take a moment to listen to the voices of young women praying with all their heart.”

Hearing this voice, Serizawa, who was staring at the screen, became extremely agitated and muttered to himself.

“Ogata, you have won. However, I will only be able to use the Oxygen Destroyer once.”

Saying this, he burns all the documents of the research he had risked his life for. Seeing this, Emiko bursts into tears. Serizawa says,

“It’s okay, Emiko. This is one blueprint that must never fall into the devil’s hands.”

This song was composed by Ifukube as a prayer for peace for the film. The sorrowful and solemn melody warms the heart even if you know it is just one scene from the film.
