セルジナ公国の王女で、国王亡きあとの正統な王位継承者。5000年前、地球にやってきた金星人の末裔でもある。

The princess of the Principality of Selgina, and the legitimate heir to the throne after the death of the king. She is also the descendant of the Venusian who came to Earth 5000 years ago.

政治闘争から避難するため、特別機で日本へ向かったが、反対派によって機は爆破。かし、その直前、王女は自分の中に眠ってい金星人の本能に導かれて機から脱出、次元の裂け目に落ち込んで命拾いする。

以後、記憶を失い、金星人と名乗って、ラドン、ゴジラ、キングギドラの出現を予言。セルジナから派遣された暗殺団に執拗に狙われるが、富士山麓の断崖で頭を打ち、記憶を取り戻す。

その後は、金星人と名乗っていたときの記憶を逆に失ってしまうが、進藤刑事に三度助けられたことだけは覚えていた。キングギドラが撃退されたあと、王女に戻って、羽田空港からセルジナに帰国している。

セルジナ公国の政府反対派が、日本へ向かうサルノ王女の特別機を空中爆破させ、王位継承者である彼女を亡き者にしようとした計画。安楽椅子の男の命令によって配下のマルメスが爆弾を仕掛けた。爆破には成功したものの、金星人を名乗る王女そっくりの女性が日本に現れたことを知った安楽椅子の男は、マルメス率いる暗殺団を日本に向かわせる。

An anti-government faction in the Principality of Selgina attempted to destroy the heir to the throne by having Princess Salno’s special plane headed for Japan explode in the air. On the Armchair Man’s orders, his subordinate Malmes planted the bomb. 内紛が続くセルジナ公国から王女マルス・ドゥナリ・サルノを日本へ避難させるために使用された小型飛行機。しかし、政府反対派によって爆弾が仕掛けられ、羽田到着を前に、機は空中爆破してしまう。ちなみにこのシークエンスは、平井和正の小説『幻魔大戦』の元ネタになっている。
