東京タワーの破壊を、こんなに美しくこんなに見事にやったのは、モスラぐらいだろう。まるで東京全大が、モスラのための、円形劇場のようだった!!

モスラには人が入れない。だから動きは全て、ピアノ線による操演だ。幼虫の時の、モゴモゴと這う動き、成虫になってからの優雅な羽の動き。もう神技に近いぜ!!

この作品でのゴジラは、ことさら凶暴だ。なんたってモスラが善の化身そのものだがらね。悪役に徹しきったゴジラは、立派だった!!

DOGORA THE SPACE MONSTER
宇宙大怪獣ドゴラ 1964•8

宇宙からやってきた、クラゲの王様のような怪獣がドゴラだった。撮影は、モデルを水槽の中で操り、そこに街の風景を合成した。

Dogora was a monster like the King of Jellyfish that came from space. For shooting, it was manipulated the model in an aquarium and the scenery of the city was synthesized there.
