私の部屋のゴジラコレクションに興味を持ち始めていた3才になる甥は、「ゴジラが来るぞ!」といえばその最大級の恐怖からピタリと悪さをやめる。そのくせ欲しがるおもちゃはすべてゴジラグッズ。彼なりに最大級の夢と魅力も知ったらしくいつの間にかゴジラの虜に･･･。

My 3-year-old nephew, who had started to become interested in the Godzilla collection in my room, would stop his mischief immediately when I told him, “Godzilla is coming!”, because he was so scared. But all the toys he wanted were Godzilla goods. He seemed to have discovered the greatest dream and charm of Godzilla, and before he knew it, he was captivated by it.

S56生まれがS28生まれとゴジラを媒体にムキになってコミュニケートできることに、私は今たまらない喜びを感じている。ビッグG復活ムードに乗って今やこの男の友情?はますます絶好調!2枚のゴジラクラブ会員カードは友情の証しになってしまった感がある。12月15日ゴジラ上陸の日、我々の友情もまた一挙に巨大化し歓喜の声をあげて暴れ狂うのではないだろうか。

I feel an overwhelming joy right now that someone born in 1981 can communicate with someone born in 1953 through Godzilla. With the Big G’s revival in full swing, this friendship between these two men is going strong! I feel like my two Godzilla Club membership cards have become a symbol of our friendship. On December 15th, the day Godzilla lands, I’m sure our friendship will also grow in size and we will all shout with joy and go wild.

永遠に不滅の最大級の夢と魅力に期待しつつ･･･。最後に甥からのメッセージを。「えいがゴジラはやくみしぇて。」

I look forward to the greatest dream and fascination that will never die… Finally, a message from my nephew: “Please come see the movie Godzilla soon.”
