(Godzilla Countermeasures Headquarters announcement) Last night at around 11 o’clock, Godzilla finally entered Tokyo from Shinagawa. The authorities, worried about public unrest, secretly attempted to destroy it at sea by using depth charges from a frigate, but failed. 50,000-volt barbed wire stretched along the coastline and special vehicles and machine gun attacks by armed police of the Self-Defense Forces were ineffective as Godzilla raced through Shinagawa Station, the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Hall, the TV tower, and the Yurakucho area, knocking down Kachidoki Bridge and disappearing into the sea at around 3 o’clock this evening. The Yurakucho and Ueno areas are ablaze due to the incandescent light emitted by Godzilla. In addition, trains and other trains in motion were severely damaged, and the number of casualties is expected to reach several thousand. As it is expected to invade again this evening, all public transportation has been suspended, and an order has been issued for Tokyo residents to evacuate to the suburbs.
(Paleontologist Dr. Yamane) It is truly frightening. This giant monster is a creature that was in the process of evolving from marine reptiles to land animals from the Dwarf to Cretaceous periods, two million years ago, when giant beasts such as dinosaurs and brontosauruses lived. It is thought to have survived until the present day, hiding in underwater caves, but its living environment was destroyed by repeated hydrogen bomb tests, and it is believed to have become violent and emerged. Due to its nature, it is likely to come ashore again this evening. During last night’s invasion, it is believed that thousands of people were injured by the intense radiation that the monster spat out from its mouth. Our chemical team is currently holding a joint meeting of various departments to gather all our strength to challenge this monster. If this attack fails, it will mean the extinction of humanity.
