Introducing two monster professors officially appointed by Toho

私たちが子供の頃は、どれだけたくさんの怪獣の名前やデータを覚えていられるかが、当然のごとくステータスであった。

When we were children, it was a matter of course how much we could remember the names and data of monsters.

チャンピオンまつりは、もちろん子供をターゲットにした興行であり、東宝宣伝部によるキャンペーンの一環で、『地球攻撃命令ゴジラ対ガイガン』の上映直前の昭栄誉ある〝怪獣博士〟に選ばれたのは二彦君(10歳)と、武蔵野市の小学校一年生・和47年2月18日、有楽町の東宝会館内で、“怪獣博士〟の授与式が盛大に開催された。

The Champion Festival is, of course, a show aimed at children, and as part of a campaign by the Toho Publicity Department, a Showa honor just before the screening of “Earth Attack Command Godzilla vs. Gigan,” Futhiko-kun (10 years old) and a first-year elementary school student from Musashino City were selected as the “Monster Doctor” on February 18, 1947. The awarding ceremony for the “Kaiju Doctor” was held at Toho Kaikan in Yurakucho.

人の少年。板橋区の小学校四年生・西塚秀小谷寿量君(7歳)。

Boy. Hisayoshi Kotani (7 years old) is a 4th grade elementary school student from Itabashi Ward.
