ゴジラから日本を守ために甦ったヤマト聖獣の一匹。地中を猛スピードで掘り進むことができる赤い地底怪獣で、敵の足元から攻撃する奇襲戦法を得意としている。『護国聖獣伝記』に基づき、防衛軍によって〝バラゴン〟と呼称された。

One of the Yamato sacred beasts revived to protect Japan from Godzilla. A red underground monster that can burrow underground at breakneck speed, it specializes in ambush tactics that attack from the enemy’s feet. Based on “National Defense Sacred Beast Biography,” he was called “Baragon” by the Defense Force.

妙高山で甦ったバラゴンは、大田切トンネルで暴走族を襲撃、地中を南下して、山梨•本栖に出現。御殿場に侵入し、箱根•大涌谷でゴジラと激突した。『護国聖獣伝記』によれば、バラゴン、モスラ、ギドラは2千年前、古代王朝によって退治され、その霊を慰めるため、〝護国聖獣〟と読んで神として祀り、一万年の眠りにつかされたとされている。

Baragon, revived in Mt. Myoko, attacks the motorcycle gangs in the Otagiri Tunnel, travels south underground, and appears in Yamanashi and Motosu. Invaded Gotemba and clashed with Godzilla in Hakone/Owakudani. According to “National Defense Sacred Beast Biography,” it is said that Baragon, Mothra, and Ghidorah were exterminated by the ancient dynasty 2,000 years ago.

伝記通りに３大怪獣が出現した。
Three big monsters appeared according to the biography.

バラゴン、モスラ、ギドラに関して、伊佐山嘉利教授が著した書物。妙高山、池田湖、富士樹海に眠る三聖獣の存在や、ヤマタノオロチや狛犬が、ギドラやバラゴンの伝説に基づくものであることなが記されているのだ。

A book written by Professor Yoshitoshi Isayama about Baragon, Mothra, and Ghidorah. It mentions the existence of the three sacred beasts that sleep in Mt. Myoko, Lake Ikeda, and the Sea of Trees, and that Yamata no Orochi and Komainu are based on the legends of Ghidorah and Baragon.

著者•伊佐山は50年前から行方不明になっていたが……。

地上に姿を現したバラゴンは日本に上陸たゴジラを目指して進行を続けた。

大きくて、強力なアゴによるバラゴンの噛みつき攻撃、一度食いついたら、そう簡単に振りほどくことができない。
