〔略筋〕水実験の行われている太平洋上で漁船が行方不明になることから, 国会は山根博士(志村喬) 娘恵美 (河内桃子)研究員尾形(宝田明)等を派遣、水爆のエネルギを体中に蓄えた恐るべきゴジラなる怪物を確めた。ゴジラは遂に東京を荒しある。山根博士ゴジラの実験室に, 人間に不信を抱いた片眼の研究生があり、必死の研究でゴジラ退治の薬品を発明、身を挺してゴジラを倒すまで。

[Outline] As fishing boats go missing in the Pacific Ocean, where water experiments are being conducted, the Diet dispatches Dr. Yamane (Takashi Shimura), his daughter Emi (Momoko Kawachi), researcher Ogata (Akira Takarada), and others, and they confirmed the terrifying monster called Godzilla, which stored the energy of the hydrogen bomb in its body. Godzilla finally devastated Tokyo.

In Dr. Yamane’s Godzilla laboratory, there is a one-eyed student who distrusts humans, through frantic research, invented a drug to exterminate Godzilla. Until he killed Godzilla with his own hands.

[解設] 原作は科学小の権威香山滋。日本映画では珍らしい空想上の怪物映画。この映画の成否の鍵を握る特殊技術は”太平洋の鷙”の円谷英と向山宏。村田武雄が脚色、監督は本田猪四郎。

[Explanation] The original is Shigeru Kayama, an authority on elementary school science. A fantasy monster movie that is rare in Japanese movies. The special technology that holds the key to the success or failure of this movie is Eiji Tsuburaya and Hiroshi Mukoyama of “The Pacific Sparrow.” Adapted by Takeo Murata and directed by Ishiro Honda.
