宇宙サイボーグ怪獣というのが、ガイガンの設定。おそらく、上記の武器になっている部分がサイボ ーグ化された箇所と思われるが、原形がどういう生物であったのかは、まったく不明である。指令を発信しているのは、Mハンター宇宙星雲に住むゴキブリ生物。

The space cyborg monster is the setting of Gigan. Probably, the part that is the weapon above is a cyborgized part, but it is completely unknown what kind of creature the original form was. It is the cockroach creatures that live in the M Hunter Space Nebula that are sending the commands.

『ゴジラ対ガイガン』(1972)でキングギドラとタッグを組んで、ゴジラ&アンギラスと対決した後、一度はMハンター星雲に逃げ帰ったが、翌年の『ゴジラ対メガロ』でシートピア海底王国の要請を受け、再び地球に飛来。メガロと組 んで、ゴジラ&ジェットジャガーと戦った。

After teaming up with King Ghidorah in “Godzilla vs. Gigan” (1972) and confronting Godzilla & Anguirus, he once escaped to the M Hunter Nebula, but in “Godzilla vs. Megalon” the following year, at the request of the Seatopia Undersea Kingdom, he flies to the earth again. He teamed up with Megalon and fought Godzilla & Jet Jaguar.
