What kind of monster is Godzilla’s rival?

宇宙超怪獣キングギドラと、ロボット怪獣メカゴジラだ。この両怪獣とは、何度もたたかったが、とてもてごわいあいてだ。二ひきが力をあわれてせめてきたら、ゴジラもあぶないかもしれないぞ。

The space super monster King Ghidorah and the robot monster MechaGodzilla. He fought these two monsters many times, but they’re very tough. If the two of them attacked because of their power, Godzilla might be in danger.

14 ゴジラは、何にきもいるの？
What does Godzilla care about?

ゴジラがすがたをあらわしてから30年になる。そのあいだ。すこしずつ、顔つきがちがっているようだ。いまのゴジラは２代めといわれているが、ほかに何びきもいるかもしれないね。

It’s been 30 years since Godzilla appeared. During that time, little by little, his face seemed to change. The current Godzilla is said to be the second generation, but there may be others.

15 ゴジラはまけたことがあるの？
Has Godzilla ever lost?

1度だけ、親のかたきをうとうかかってきた、ふたごの子モスラにまけてしまった。

Only once, he lost to the twin Mothra, when he defeated their parent.
