The arrival of the X-Plus 30cm Godzilla 1954 Train Biter has made many Godzilla fans happy last week. Such a beautiful highly-detailed figure commemorating the King of Monsters in all his Shodai glory. I’ve enjoyed photographing it over the last few days. But then it dawned on me how closely he resembles the design of Shin Godzilla on the movie teaser poser. Sporting similar eyes and elongated neck Shin Godzilla takes us back to Shodai Godzilla. With that said I felt compelled to make a commemorative Shodai poster for before there is Shin there must be a Shodai.
