If you’ve noticed I change the My Kaiju logo often. As a graphic designer, I’m never satistifed with work I do for myself. MyKaiju.com is not only for the expression of my Godzilla fandom but also a means of creative expression. I’ve been trying to incorporate Japanese in the logo where possible. So now I have two logos, English and Japanese. Below are incarnations of the logo concluding with the current iteration. Like in each Godzilla movie his appearance changes. I wanted the Japanese characters to be playful and have a vintage feel. Earlier versions included a figure of a little child under the protective care of Godzilla. In the latest design the Planet X invaders are incorporated. It is a work in progress. Each logo represents an evolution in my creative expression of Godzilla.
