Nagoya 名古屋
I love Nagoya! And Nagoya is a great place for both Godzilla sightseeing and collecting. Nagoya is the sight of Godzilla’s appearance in Mothra vs Godzilla (1964). In Godzilla vs Mothra (1992), Battra smashed his way across Nagoya City tarrying down the landmark TV tower. There is a concentration of toy shops in Osu Kannon Temple to definitely check out!

Nagoya is the home of great collectibles shops that include Mandarake and more than half a dozen shops at Osu Kannon Temple. Osu Kannon (大須観音, Ōsu Kannon) is a popular Buddhist temple in central Nagoya and only a few steps from Osu Kannon Station on the Tsurumai Subway Line. From Nagoya Station take the Higashiyama Subway Line and transfer to the Tsurumai Line at Fushimi Station. Thoroughly explore Osu shopping area. You won’t be disappointed. I walked there every Saturday morning from Nagoya Station. In the same vicinity there are several hobby shops where Godzilla items can be found.
